Firstly, I want to say that you should always go to a restaurant without expectations. Your experience will be much more pleasant, good or bad. We came to Lima Bar & Restaurant looking for event space for 80 - 100 people. It's a great space. Very pleasing atmosphere for the most part. The High ceiling does make for a little bareness in decoration. The purple LED lighting didn't do much to help things. Still, its nice enough to host a crowd from the old country. We came back a couple days later to try the food... and... It. Was. A M A Z I N G! It was so good there was nothing--NOTHING--left. I'm no gourmand. I just know what my makes my tastebuds happy. I'm simple like that. My husband and daughter were equally happy. Service was a bit slow towards the end, though there weren't many patrons. I attribute this to the very personable staff taking their time with everyone. Both owners came to greet us and chat. It was like having a comforting conversation in your kitchen with friends. Even the waiter was gracious and knowledgeable of Peruvian Cuisine. I'm not much for loud music and crowds so I avoid ever coming here in the evenings on the weekends because the music gets SO LOUD your eardrums are popping out of your ears.

I've been here a couple of times with my wife and her family.. each time we have gone, the food has been plentiful, and the service always outstanding. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great Peruvian meal. Apparently they host concerts and I can tell by the layout that it makes for a perfect venue. We'll be back!

We came here on Sunday to watch the FIFA final game between Argentina and France. Boy thank god for a reservation because it was packed! This Peruvian restaurant is conveniently located on Northern Blvd right across the q66 bus stop. This place is spacious and was very well set up for game day. We were literally seated between two large tv projections. Seeing as the game started at 10AM, we opted for some chicha morada to drink rather than liquor. To make sure my review is as accurate it can be, I always order my go to meals: anticuchos, papa a la huancaina and Jalea. We also ordered calamari. Everything was delicious! But I could I expect anything less from a restaurant named after our capital? The only downside I saw was that I constantly had to ask for things; like a fork for my food, salt or even a can of Inca cola I ordered 10 minutes ago. I get it the place was packed ... I would definitely come back to try their pollo a la brasa and other dishes. See you in 2023 Lima!

I came here because I had a craving for "authentic" ceviche. Although it was a bit of a hike from Manhattan, this place really hits the spot. My ceviche was divine; even though, the price point is kind of high for the area, the dish was served with ample portions. The restaurant is HUGE and kind of elegant; I felt a little underdressed in jeans and a T-shirt. Although the food and pisco sours were delicious, the service was a little (a lot) slow. My friend and I were sitting at the bar, but we really had to actively get someone to refill our drinks. I do not know if this is normal, because a large birthday party was wrapping up. Perhaps, two bartenders were stretched a little thin. Although this restaurant is kind of fancy, but it has karaoke on some nights. All in all, I enjoyed this place (even with the long trip) more than the few places that I visited in Manhattan.
